Privacy Policy

CraftedTable ("we," "us," "our") provides a personalized meal-planning service through the CraftedTable mobile app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've kept it short and direct on purpose.

What we collect

When you use CraftedTable, we collect the following information directly from you:

  • Account information: email address and the first name you provide during sign-up.
  • Health and lifestyle details you enter: weight, height, age, sex, activity level, dietary restrictions, food preferences, cooking style, and skill level. This information is used to calculate calorie and macro targets and to generate your weekly meal plans.
  • App content you create: your answers to the onboarding quiz, your "loved" or "not for me" feedback on individual recipes, and any free-text notes you submit during monthly check-ins.
  • Account identifier: a randomly generated user ID we use to associate the above data with your account on our servers.
  • Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription, which plan you purchased, the start and renewal dates, and whether you're in a free trial. We receive this from Apple via our subscription management provider; we never receive your credit card details, bank account, or other payment information.

We do not collect:

  • Your precise or coarse location.
  • Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.
  • Web browsing or search history outside the app.
  • Payment card numbers, bank account information, or credit history (Apple handles all in-app payments — we never see this data).
  • Advertising identifiers. We do not show ads.

How we use it

  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To generate your personalized meal plans, grocery lists, and prep schedules.
  • To improve future meal plans based on the feedback you provide (recipes you loved, recipes you disliked, notes from monthly check-ins).
  • To verify your subscription status and provide customer support if you contact us.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, profiling for third parties, or any form of tracking across other apps or websites.

Who we share it with

We share limited information with the following service providers solely so the app can function. Each is bound by contractual confidentiality obligations and used in accordance with industry-standard data-protection practices.

  • Supabase — hosts our database where your account information, quiz answers, meal plans, and feedback are stored. supabase.com/privacy
  • Anthropic — our service provider for meal plan generation. When you create or regenerate a plan, your profile data (name, dietary needs, body metrics, preferences, and prior feedback) is sent securely to Anthropic's API and used solely to produce your plan.   • RevenueCat — manages subscription state and syncs your subscription status with our database. revenuecat.com/privacy
  • Apple — processes all in-app purchases and provides app distribution. Apple's terms govern your payment information. apple.com/legal/privacy
  • Expo — provides our mobile app delivery and over-the-air updates. expo.dev/privacy

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.

How long we keep it

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days. Some information may be retained for a longer period if required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes, but we do not retain anything beyond what is strictly necessary.

Your choices

  • Access or export your data: email us using the address below and we will send you a copy of the information associated with your account.
  • Correct your data: most fields (name, weight, dietary preferences, etc.) can be edited directly in the app's Preferences screen.
  • Delete your account: email us using the address below to request account and data deletion.
  • Opt out of feedback notifications: turn off recipe-feedback notifications in the Profile tab inside the app.

If you are a resident of California, the EU, the UK, or any jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, you have additional rights under those laws (including, where applicable, the right to portability, the right to object, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority). Children

CraftedTable is not intended for, and is not marketed to, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete the information.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where required by law we will notify you through the app or by email.
